Assess Don’t Guess – 2 day workshop
This two day course is designed to provide the basic understanding of how posture (static and dynamic) can be observed and assessed to determine the possible causes of pain or disease. It will include the anatomy of the major muscles affecting posture.
Tutors
Damien Clements works in the field of corrective exercise, nutrition and lifestyle coaching,and exercise science, is a personal trainer and a C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) practitioner.
Angela Lattimore teaches clinical anatomy to medical students at Cambridge University, has 15 years experience in the holistic industry being a therapist in massage, reflexology, cranial-sacro techniques, visceral manipulation, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.
The course held over a weekend will include anatomy of the inner (stabilising musculature) and outer units (mobilising musculature), and the major muscle affecting posture. Postural assessment of muscular/skeletal problems, identifying postural syndromes, and their potential causes (physical, mental, or emotional), and stretches/exercises, and other interventions to correct them.
